Fortnite is back with a brand new season, the first since Chapter 2 started last October. The new Chapter 2 Season 2 (C2S2) upgrade has rolled out on PC, PS4, Xbox One, Change, and mobile devices offering a new spy motif, map changes, and more. As per usual, along with the adjustments to gameplay, there’s a new Battle Pass available for purchase for 950 V-Bucks (roughly USD 10), complete with 100 levels of rewards to unlock. These include weapon skins, emotes, back bling, and personality skins–a few of which have their unusual challenges to finish –which you can earn by playing without paying a visit to the in-game thing store.
Overall, you can collect almost 100 pieces of fresh equipment, and as you are at it, make around 1,500 V-Bucks–lots to buy your way into the next year’s Battle Pass. Some standout skins incorporate a musclebound cat called Meowscles, a shape-shifting warrior variation, golden-armed Midas, and many others. A trailer for its battle pass also revealed that we could expect to see Deadpool join the lineup this year as the secret unlockable skin, though it’s unclear exactly when; it sounds as if unlocking it’ll be tied to particular weekly challenges which are rolled out over the next couple months. Epic also hasn’t published Season two patch notes, but players are working to cobble together their own as we try to work out everything new.
Together with the spy theme, players can choose sides between the Ghost and Shadow factions. Those options will bring about various challenges missions and rewards.
